In this beginner friendly workshop we will be discussing both form/function and how it pertains to creating candelabras! Candelabras typically hold tapered candles and can add warmth and style to any table or space. Utilizing colored porcelain, shapes and forms we will be creating sculptural candelabras using slab and coil building techniques. Students will learn some tricks and tips for creaking height, measuring the candle stick holder, as well as successful building techniques.

Students are encouraged to bring sketches to the workshop as well as any funky candlesticks they would like to use in their candelabra. If you don't have a candle stick, no problem! Your instructor will provide some candle sticks for measuring purposes.

Candelabras will be glazed using a clear glaze and by RECC staff and be available for pickup in 2-3 weeks. You will receive an email when they are ready!
