STUDIO TECHNICIAN
INSTRUCTOR
ANDREW SOTO
Andrew (he/him) has been throwing, pinching, slicing, slapping, stamping, and reclaiming clay since 2014. While living in the beautiful Redwood forest of Northern California and attending Humbolt State University, he discovered the world of wood and soda firing . Andrew’s pots are often functional and made to be highly textural and gestural, although newer works have drifted towards blurring the lines between utility and sculpture. He moved to Seattle in 2018 to continue a life in clay and has since taught at various studios in the Seattle area as well as fabricating electric kilns at Seattle Pottery Supply.
